Apricot season.

Here’s how I spent the weekend: bottling apricots (courtesy of friends Pete and Steph’s magnificent garden) plus apple puree (fruit from roger) with blackberries (also from Pete).  Sixteen jars of wonderful harvest to keep for the coming months.

Coincidentally, last week I was recording the recipe or the national Talking News Federation that has created a “boxed set” of my various past recordings.  These are offered to the numerous Talking News organisations all over the country where volunteers produce the local news in audio form for anyone who struggles with the printed versions.  A good cause worth supporting.
