Have to confess that the main one is a goner but still quite a few left on the Easter Simnel cake.
The Bank Holiday lunch was a great success thanks to the contributions of friends. Joan and Jeff brought inspiring smoked salmon rillettes with horseradish and Sue and Rod’s magnificent meringue , rhubarb, strawberry and cream confection disappeared in minutes.
Our very slow (4+ hours) roast legs of lamb, speared with anchovy, rosemary and garlic were delicious and made oodles more portions now frozen for the future. Who said “ready-meals” have to be bought or boring?
