Happy celebrations.

Two big birthdays (one a bit belated) plus a wedding anniversary bash held with friends at the Catisfield Memorial Hall where the sous-chef is Chair and I’m Life president.  A great time was had by all, excellent catering, fun entertainment by the “Bow-tie Balloon Guy” and the ukulele band.  What more could you want?

We’d been planning it for months: the flower arrangements, the hot canapes (my wonderful mini-pork pies and foccacini), the guests and layout, the various birthday cakes (my classic “Christmas”, delicious apple plus the gluten-free brownies).

The crowning glory was the ukulele band, ‘Strum 4 Fun’, playing their songs (sous-chef is the sole male) finishing with the rendering of “Sweet Caroline” accompanied by the recording of the Royal Marines Band (him again) in anticipation of the football triumph.  Couldn’t have been better!
