Not quite singing for my supper but I was talking for my lunch last week at the Lee-on-the-Solent golf club with a fascinating group of very welcoming local ladies. One lived just around the corner, another had served with the QARNNs (navy nurses), another was married to a former RAF pilot and there were many other life-links. Sold a few books and donated more to their raffle before tucking in. Really warm welcome and, as so often, they’d underestimated what we disabled people can do!
